Biomedical Engineering (BME) is the application of the principles and tools of engineering to the enhancement of scientific research and problem solving in the biological, pharmacological, and medical fields. In addition to receiving a firm and comprehensive foundation in the physical sciences and engineering, students in Utahโ€™s undergraduate Biomedical Engineering program obtain a strong background in biology and physiology as well as the physical sciences and mathematics. This foundation serves as the the source for ideas, inspiration, and concepts to solve engineering problems in modern healthcare.
